It's difficult for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

That it took up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, taking back their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the last half-century.

It is hard for their batsmen to possess a record if not provided the possibility.

Finally, the result of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy being given a platform to produce her newest gem.

"An opportunity to take the field and engage in competition with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at a World Cup - and her ton in 84 balls as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

By the time she was removed Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an unconquered height now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the assurance to do that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can achieve it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this tournament want to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will win from any position has become more firm - this triumph succeeding success over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at one point.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.

During that phase they were eliminated from the prior year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy missed because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the first time at a major tournament.
